Music is a huge part of culture. The songs we sing and the music we play tell an immense amount about who we are, how we act, what we value, and what we believe. However, music is not innocent; it not only reflects our thoughts and feelings and actions, but shapes them (directly or indirectly) as well.

Continue Reading…On Oct. 31, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) voted to admit Palestine as member 195. The vote showed that Palestine has overwhelming support around the world: 107 member nations voted to admit Palestine, while only 14 voted against.

Continue Reading…On the weekend of Oct. 28-30, eight EMU undergraduate students and one CJP student attended the Mountain Justice Fall Summit in Rock Creek, WV. The Summit, sponsored by several non-profit organizations and activists groups, brought together environmental activists from around the country to discuss and strategize the continued fight against mountain top removal in Appalachia.
