The temperature might be dropping outside the University Commons, but Yoder Arena is going to be heating up as the EMU Lady Royals' take on their biggest rivals in Bridgewater College on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.

This will only be the Lady Royals' third game all season and second in the very difficult Old Dominion Athletic Conference. EMU will have their hands full as the Eagles enter the 2007-07 campaign as preseason #1 in the conference and currently are ranked 21st in the nation by D3hoops.com.

EMU is off to 2-0 (1-0 in ODAC) after two blow out victories over Lancaster Bible and Randolph-Macon Women's College. EMU will have the tall task of containing the Preseason All-American Katy Herr from Bridgewater who helped lead the Eagles to the NCAA Sweet 16 last season. All students are invited and encouraged to join right inside the entrance of the University Commons at 1:15 p.m. to take part in poster making, face painting, and other activities sponsored by the CAC prior to tip off at 2.

After the Royals vs. Eagles game, head down route 42 to nearby Bridgewater College as the men's basketball team will be participating in the Don Glick Invitational. The Royals will take the court at 8 p.m. against a tough Greensboro squad on Saturday night and will be back on the hardwood on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. against Valley Forge.
