Jeremy Webster crossed the tape in first place on two different occasions this past weekend in Pennsylvania, and in return garners Player of the Week.

The Indoor Track and Field team made their way up Interstate 81 on Saturday to Carlisle, Pa., site of the 2006 Dickinson College Valentine Meet. Webster had a solid start to the day by placing fourth in the 55-meter dash. He then made his presence truly felt when he stepped out onto the track by finishing first in both the 200- and 400-meter dash. Webster seems to be hitting his stride as of late, recording a personal best and a facility record at Dickinson College in the 200 meters. His time of 6.67 seconds in the 55 meters was also a personal best for this season.

Webster, a junior from Yorktown, Va., showed he could get the job done in the relays as well. He helped the 4x400-meter relay team to a second place finish. Webster said his work ethic "is strong but it does not take up my life. I do not mind working hard for what I want, but at the same time, this is Division III athletics and I am a student first. My main thing is to have fun."

Webster is looking forward to the outdoor season in hopes of becoming a two-time All-American in the 200 meters. He is not content with just All-American status in the 200 meters, but wants to push his way onto the national scene as an All-American in the 400 meters as well. To accomplish that feat, he will need to improve from finishing 15th last year at the national meet to a 9th place finish. Webster is definitely taking steps towards having his name known throughout the nation for Division III Track and Field for the 200 and 400 meter events.
