As a freshman coming into EMU, the views I brought from home have most certainly been challenged. My view of the world has greatly widened. I appreciate EMU's diversity and meeting other cultures represented on campus, but I often leave forums, LSA activities, and BSU activities feeling a bit "uncultured." Read more...
Over the past months, you have read many of my opinions on this page. I treasure public forums like this one because they give a person the opportunity to say what they believe and why. Similarly, people who cannot defend their beliefs frustrate me.

On a campus where pacifism seems to be a staple, I think it's time we take a look at its validity both socially and biblically. Socially, I feel that pacifism has plenty of merits but is lacking in extreme cases.

If you've been to chapel very much this semester, you've probably noticed that Lehman Auditorium hasn't exactly been overflowing on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings. Students just aren't going to chapel.
