Renee Glick sets up her senior exhibit, entitled “re.construction,” in the Sadie Hartzler Library Gallery. She will hold a reception and gallery talk on Saturday, April 24, from 1 - 3 p.m. The exhibit will be on display in the gallery until April 25.

As the year comes to a close, many EMU seniors are getting the chance to display their artwork to provide closure to their hard work throughout their university experience.

A combination of three senior women’s works, titled "This One Time," will be displayed in the Student Art Gallery starting April 17. Bethany Good, Emily Sommers and Rachel Kauffman brought their individual gifts and talents together to create the project. Each contributed their own distinct artwork.

Kauffman’s part of the show will consist of seven charcoal and pastel pieces centered on the theme of feet. Fittingly, her contribution is called "Walk this way."

"I'm using feet to represent milestones or significant moments in my life," she said. Kauffman also enjoyed the teamwork between the artists. "I've really enjoyed working on the compositions, and also the camaraderie that has happened between the four of us this semester who are putting on senior shows," she said.

Sommers’ portion is entitled "To be yourself." Good’s project is called "The Space Between."

A reception will be held in honor of the exhibit on Saturday, April 17, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. open to all students and faculty. The show will continue until April 25. Kauffman is anticipating the project’s opening. "I'm quite proud of my peers--the show will be really interesting!" she said.

Additionally, Renee Glick’s senior art exhibit is now being displayed in the Hartzler Library Gallery. Her mixed media project, entitled "re.construction," will continue until April 25. Glick’s reception and gallery talk will take place on April 24 from 1 - 3 p.m.
