The Royals’ baseball team inched closer to .500 with a win over Randolph-Macon College on Wednesday. Turner Ashby graduate Jerry Shank gave up two runs in seven innings to earn the win. He has a perfect 3-0 record this year. Cole Thorton continued his hot streak with a three run homer. Barney Quick had three doubles in the win.
The tennis teams began their season on March 9 with wins from both the men’s and women’s teams against Shenandoah.
While the beginning weeks of the season have passed with five defeats on the women’s side and three on the men’s, the teams look ahead to a more successful second half of their seasons. Read more...
