Mlinarchik just misses national championships
The men's and women's track teams finished their season over spring break. Megan Mlinarchik and Wendy Driver scored 52 of 77 points for the third place team. Jeremy Webster led the men's team to a fifth place finish.
During the season Mlinarchik bettered the indoor high jump record by nearly six inches. Her 5’ 4 1/2” ranked 15th in DIII. Her ticket to the NCAA DIII Championships in Wisconsin was nearly booked, but the final performance lists included only the top 14 jumpers.
Webster lowered one school record in his first collegiate season. He clocked 22.86 in the 200m dash at the Virginia Tech Last Chance Meet. His 50.12 in the 400m is only .09 off of the school record held by last year’s ODAC Male Runner of the Year, Adam Starks.
Transfer sprinter Matt Lam was second in the 55m dash.
