The Royals plated 11 runs in the first inning of last Wednesday’s 20 - 9 win over Villa Julie.

The Royal baseball team finished second in the Sarasota Spring Classic. Bluffton College, Goshen College, and Southern Virginia University joined EMU in the spring break tournament. The Royals went 4-4, losing 10-8 to Goshen College in the Championship game.

Royals have won three of their last four. In a sweep of Hampden Sydney College on Saturday, Kevin Forry pitched a six-hit shutout in the first games, striking out four. Cole Thorton's two-run single in the eighth put the Royals back on top for good. Drew Cobb tossed a perfect ninth inning to pick up the save.
