Lady Royals reach Sweet Sixteen, set record

The EMU women’s basketball team finished the 2003-2004 season with a record of 25 and 4, an ODAC championship, and the distinction of being just the third team in ODAC history to advance to the "Sweet Sixteen" of the NCAA Division III tournament. Though a loss to Hardin-Simmons at Stevens Point, Wisconsin, ended their season, the Lady Royals nonetheless set an all-time school record for most wins in a season. Read more...

Watergate editor champions the press at JMU celebration

JMU’s annual celebration of namesake James Madison brought renowned newspaper editor Benjamin Bradlee to campus this past Wednesday. Bradlee, currently vice president at large of the Washington Post, oversaw landmark investigations as executive editor, including the Pentagon Papers and the Watergate scandal. Read more...
