Relay results
The EMU men’s and women’s indoor track teams traveled to Dickinson College on Saturday, Jan. 24, for the DuCharme Relays. With a number of top five finishes from both teams, the day was a success.
On the women’s side, Megan Mlinarchik placed first in the high jump out of eight women, and she also won the women’s pole vault. Mlinarchik is currently first in the ODAC in the pole vault, and second in the high jump. Other top ranked women on the Royals’ team are Wendy Driver, in the triple and long jumps, and Erin Hisey in the shot put. Hisey won the shot put on Saturday, and Driver had two second place finishes, in the long jump and triple jump. In the 55-meter hurdles, Lori Castro and Rachel Manikus finished first and second, respectively. Other top five finishes for the day were Connie Steiner in the 55-meter dash, and the 4x200 relay.
The men’s team did not have a first place finish but placed in the top five in a number of events. Michael Yoder placed second in the triple jump, the 4x400 relay also placed second, and the distance medley finished in third place. Top ten finishers included Matt Lam in the 55-meter dash, Yoder in the long jump, and the 4x800 relay.
