FEMA Trailers Provide Potential Office Space

With the upcoming renovation to the Suter Science Center, the Eastern Mennonite University Physical Plant has been searching for creative ways to address the upcoming space shortage, especially the need for faculty offices. One way that EMU has started this process is with the acquisition of two 64 feet long recreational vehicles (colloquially known as FEMA Trailers).

Tireless Work for Justice and Racial Conciliation

This Friday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m., the JMU Convocation Center will be flooded with people awaiting to see the Most Rev. Desmond Tutu receive the Mahatma Gandhi Global Nonviolence award, JMU’s Mahatma Gandhi Center for Global Nonviolence’s highest honor. Archbishop Tutu will give an award presentation entitled “Goodness Is Powerful.” Entrance to the award ceremony is free and open to the public. Doors open at 5 p.m and guests are encouraged to arrive early, as the seating capacity of 6,000 is expected to fill quickly.
