PEACE! When do we want it? NOW!

Thousands of protestors, an estimated 10,000, were in attendance at the anti-war protest in Washington, D.C. last Saturday, organized largely by the ANSWER Coalition and the Iraq Veterans Against the War. Spirits were high as protestors gathered at Lafayette Park across from the White House to demand an end to the war in Iraq. One might even say the protest looked more like a weekend outing at the local fair as vendors sold pretzels, musicians gathered crowds, and children ran playfully around their parents. Some people wore costumes comically depicting the President and others dressed in attire related to their individual causes such as the CODEPINK ladies.
