The EMU men’s volleyball team picked up four important wins last week, including a five-game marathon upset of North East Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) opponent Stevens Institute of Technology. Stevens had been ranked 5th nationally in the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll. For a team missing three key players, Ryan Detweiler, Brandon Ratliff, and Dominick Porter, from last season, the Royals seem to be holding strong as one of the top contenders in Division III.

Six seconds. Six seconds of sweat. Six seconds of pain. Six fewer seconds of running allowed the indoor track 4×400 girls relay team of Michelle Leaman (leadoff), Samfee Doe, Debbie Keiser, and Tara Altizer the ability to break the previous school record of 4:28 on Feb. 9.
