EMU Attempts to Improve Security By Hiring New Firm

This Monday, Feb 25 EMU will be awarding its security contract to a new firm, Admiral Security. According to Physical Plant director Eldon Kurtz, the move should increase morale among security officers and increase retention of employees.

Early Saturday morning two weeks ago, EMU students Lars Åkerson, Nate Derstine, Kaitlin Heatwole, Jon Spicher, Emma Stahl-Wert, Nick Stoddard, and professor Peter Dula could have been seen standing around a patch of grass directly behind the Brunk House, discussing different shapes sketched on scrap pieces of paper. Men’s Volleyball Sweeps Past Week’s Games

The EMU men’s volleyball team picked up four important wins last week, including a five-game marathon upset of North East Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) opponent Stevens Institute of Technology. Stevens had been ranked 5th nationally in the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll. For a team missing three key players, Ryan Detweiler, Brandon Ratliff, and Dominick Porter, from last season, the Royals seem to be holding strong as one of the top contenders in Division III.
